I was recently married, and my bridesmaids gave me the best shower ever! We began when I met them and the invited guests at a restaurant in uptown Charlotte that has a great wine bar. Unbeknownst to me, everyone had arrived a bit early to get settled in and deliver gifts to the various locales to be discovered throughout the evening. The fun started with wine & hors d'oeuvres, and gifts appropriate for a traditional "wedding shower": cookbooks, cookware, jewelry box, wine glasses, candlesticks, and more. I was then presented with a written clue, to guess where we were next headed. We then moved to another uptown venue that specialized in tapas-style dishes, where we were seated in a private room which allowed for lots of "girl chatter"! Their attention to detail was phenomenal: each place setting included a little party favor, and a "reserved" sign was placed at the head of the table for me! They even had fun cocktail napkins for us all as well. My next clue alluded to the "naughty" part of the evening - we strolled down the street to a cocktail lounge, where we were presented with champagne and bite-size desserts. My girlfriends then presented me with all sorts of unmentionable gifts, sure to make for a sizzlin' honeymoon!

It was such a memorable evening - they all made me feel so special, and it meant alot to me that girlfriends who hadn't met before now knew each other, which made the wedding reception so much more fun for everyone!
