Bachelorette party invitations don't need to be formal, like those for a bridal shower. You can even send an e-mail invitation or an Evite to the guest list.

If you feel ambitious or have more planning time, though, there are tons of fun paper invitations on the market.

These are three basic types of shower invitations (click on each for a bachelorette example):

1. Hand-made (for the scrapbooking types who are handy with trimmers, adhesives, and embellishments)

2. Fill in the blank (you'll write in all the party info on the blank lines)

3. Imprintable (pre-designed invitations that you can run through your printer or that a printing company will customize for you)

BRIGHT IDEA: Order a few more invitations than you need just in case your printer eats one or you have a last-minute addition to the guest list.
