Note to self: I'm so thankful for computerized reminders. If I relied on sticky notes, I'd never get anything accomplished because, after I write lists, I usually forget where I put them.

At one point, I'd planned to take engagement photos for my sister and her fiance. Fortunately, she's having a pro do it instead. The stars aligned and the schedules coordinated so that her wedding photographer can now take the shots. I'm thrilled for my sister, because she got a real rock star photographer, Parker J. Pfister -- his work is stunning.

Last week, my sister mentioned that she'd set up the engagement photo session for today's date. Thankfully, at that moment, I was in front of the computer and I put her photo shoot on my calendar so I'd get a pop up reminder about it today. It worked and I got a reminder when I turned on the computer this morning. So I looked like the thoughtful, on-the-ball maid of honor when I called this morning to wish her luck at her engagement photo session.

Even if you're not addicted to your "Crackberry" handheld or are not a Bill Gates wannabe, use your electronic calendar or your trusty paper calendar to write down your bride's "little" milestone dates. Give her a quick call or email to let her know you care, because just about any "little" wedding moment to you is a big deal to her.
