I thank my lucky stars every day that God invented spell check (and the internet, too, right?). So please used this divine gift BEFORE you put stamps on those wedding shower or bachelorette party invitations.

I know your bridesmaid tasks can pile up quickly and when you add them to your already-busy daily duties, we all know something ends up sliding. Don't let it be your spelling.

Recently, I came across an article I pulled from a long ago issue of the always fresh Skirt! Magazine. It was a profile article of a local marketing consultant, Barb, who recounted a bridesmaid tale that gives me the chills: she was throwing an "Around The Clock" wedding shower. The day the invitations were delivered to the post office (and hand-delivered to the bride's mother) it was discovered that Barb forgot the "L" in Clock. Yep... the women were invited to an "Around The Cock" shower! The groom thought the type-o was so hysterically funny, he sent copies of the invite to his pals. Fortunately the bride was a good sport and let's just say the shower guests gave interesting gifts.

Dearly beloved.. if anyone has any reason why these bridesmaids should not use spell check early and often in their planning process, speak now or forever hold their peas.
